LOVE has no other desire but to fulfill itself
but if you love and must needs have desires,
let these be your desires:
to melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night.to know the pain of too much tenderness
to be wounded by your own understanding of love;
and to bleed willingly and joyfully
to wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving;
to rest at the noon hour and meditate love's ecstasy;
to return home at eventide with gratitude;
and then to sleep with a prayer for the beloved in your heart and a song of praise on your lips...
love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind!
and therefore is winged Cupid painted blind...

love is a smoke made with the fumes of sighs;
being purged, a fire sparkling in lovers' eyes;
being vexed, a sea nourished with lovers' tears;
what is it else?
a madness most discreet,
a choking gall, and a preserving sweet..
hear my soul speak:
the very instant that I saw you, did my heart fly to your service!
my bounty is as boundless as the sea, my love as deep;
the more I give to thee, the more I have, for both are infinite!
all days are nights to see till I see thee,
and nights bright days when dreams do show thee me
one half of me is yours, the other half yours
mine own, I would say;
but if mine, then yours,
and so all yours..!

the heartbreaking,
insanely suffocating night gently embraces me...
on this insanely suffocating night,
I murmured so...
I'm inside a heartbreaking loneliness,
guessing the riddle of finding one star in the middle of such a number..
there's a hollow feeling night outside the window,
this sparkling town casting shadows!
the clock's hand whisper insanity in the night stillness..
when the time of loneliness doesn't leave,
answers are lost!!!
alone without anyone there,
a room without you!
I miss you...

a girl steps out of the darkness,
scarlet diamonds floating in her long-dead eyes,
a halo of perforated raindrops
in an iridescent circlet of light about her head;
betrayed by the orange street-lamp
in the midst of her midnight search
scavenger hunt for life through death;
the lonely wanderer of night skies,
always alone in the darkness;
a solitary glimpse of naked light,
the whitest skin,
textured in porcelain,
her ancient skin,
stronger than any brash and soulless steel,
her flesh a silent,
aching memorial
to days of lost and betrayed youth;
ebony net of gossamer hair,
a wreath about her glacial shoulders;
eyes that glitter with the scorching pain
of ages past,
centuries of half-life;

ruby demons caressing the cold flesh of her lips
as an incautious drop of crimson life
bubbles from the crimson depths
to fall upon the cool white of her naked breast;
death-marks still upon her silky skin
as she steps out of the dusky shroud of night
into the crown of glittering neon
around the rain-spattered arc-light
in the empty and desolate city street;
clothed in funeral black from head to bare feet,
rags of cloudy darkness
clinging to her sylphic form
like cobwebs on a moon-drenched tomb;
draped in darkness,
weeping...
in the fire of her own damnation!
eternal princess of the night,
how beautiful thy savagery seems...

Peace...
for shame,
Confusion's Care lives not in these Confusions.
Heaven and yourself had part in this fair Maid;
now Heaven hath all, and all the better is it for the Maid.
Your part in her you could not keep from Death,
but Heaven keeps his Part in eternal Life.
The most you sought was her Promotion,
for 'twas your Heaven she should be advanc'd;
and weep ye now,
seeing she is advanc'd above the Clouds as high as Heaven it self?
O in this Love you love your Child so ill that you run mad,
seeing that she is well.
She's not well married that lives married long,
but she's best married that dies married young.
Dry up your Tears,
and stick your Rosemary on this fair Corse and,
as the Custom is,
in all her best Array,
bear her to Church;
for though some Nature bids us all lament,
yer Nature's Tears are Reason's Merriment...
